WINNEBAGO COUNTY SPECIAL EDUCATION COOPERATIVE wishes to inform you of its intention to destroy the cumulative temporary records (special education only) of high school graduates from 2013 or anyone who became an inactive student from a Cooperative District in 2013 (moved, aged out, enrolled in private school, etc.). - This procedure is being conducted according to the Illinois School Student Records Act, 105 ILCS, 10/4. The cumulative temporary file will be destroyed after June 30, 2019. It is your right to obtain this file at a convenient time prior to its destruction. - Files cannot be mailed; they must be picked up in person. 2019 Prom - The Pecatonica High School held the 2019 Prom last Saturday May 4, 2019. Students looked very glamorous for the formal occasion. The Grand March was held at the high school where students were announced and also our Prom King, Kolton Mathieu and Prom Queen, Lily Karvelis. The prom goers enjoyed dinner at Giovanni's in Rockford and then returned to the High School for the dance. Many students stayed all night for the Post Prom after party. All were glad it didn’t snow. Congratulations to the PHS bass fishing team of Travis Jacobs, Dan Daly, Carson McNamer, and Harrison Beaves-Lewis on their efforts at the IHSA Pierce Lake Sectional Bass Fishing Tournament Today. Jacobs and Daly won the tournament and will advance to state!! Beaves-Lewis caught the biggest fish of the day with a 5 lb bass.

"The Principal and The Pea", a 2nd Grade Concert, was fun and light-hearted. The students performed their concert in the Pecatonica High School Commons on Tuesday, February 13, 2019. The performance was well orchestrated and high energy. The melodic and sometimes humorous songs entertained the audience and they laughed and enjoyed the children’s presentation all through the evening. Ms. Lucas has taught most of the grade levels at the elementary school including special education and early childhood. She noted that recently she has began teaching her previous students' children, and her own two children now attend the middle school. She is deeply rooted in our community and in our hearts! Dear Parents and Students, Over the Christmas break, Mr. Kirby (Chorus Teacher) informed us that he was resigning and would not return for the second semester. While the timing was unfortunate, we were able to find a December graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville who will assume his choral teaching responsibilities starting on January 23, 2019. Congratulations to the SENIOR class who were the winner of the GPA Challenge for the first half of the semester! Seniors had an average unweighted GPA of a 3.58, with sophomores close behind, followed by juniors then freshmen. Seniors were treated to Culver’s frozen custard TODAY!

Ms. Medearis's Social Studies - In studying Indian Removal in the 1830s, students were given tribes to study and share. They had the option of adding foods, music, dance, and costume to give points to the presentations. Look at all the great food they had Monday, 10/15 during 1st hour! 👀

Mr. King and a student are tearing “Smile Tickets”. Teachers will give out these tickets for students who are “caught being good”. The students will then be able to get a treat during ISP and the tickets will be used for drawings in future student assemblies. LOL😀😁😂🤣😃
