Happy Veteran’s Day to our veterans who were celebrated today at the Pecatonica Community Middle School! Thirty local Veterans ventured out on a snowy day to enjoy the PHS Kitchen’s “famous apple crisp”, coffee and ice cream. The PHS Jr. ROTC students; David Butterfield (12), Elijah Lichtfuss (12), and Daryl Norman (12), assisted veterans throughout the event. Mr. Bukoski’s 7th Grade students wrote thank you letters to put at tables and 5th grade displayed thank you letters on the wall. Students also brought in photos of family members to make a military service memorial wall in the library where the event was held. The 4th grade students traveled down to honor attendees with two beautiful patriotic songs. The Pecatonica Community School District #321 loves our veterans and appreciate their service to our country. Thank you to all the servicemen and women who attended and all who prepared for this amazing event.
