Veterinary Technology - A veterinarian might need to know the surface area of an animal to administer medicine or perhaps provide housing. To get an idea of skin surface area the students covered their own skin with newspaper and then measured the newspaper to compare the surface area of an animal their size. Some newspaper outfits were very stylish (Gucci).
