The 1st grade classes read “Chicks & Salsa” recently and had a little chicken friend visit on Friday, May 10, 2019 in Mrs. Carlson’s classroom. Tara Sparkman, one of the student's mothers, brought in the Easter Egger (so name for their blue and green eggs) and answered many of the questions that a 1st grader might have about a chicken. All 1st graders who wanted to pet “Tootsie” did so by petting her from head to tail without ruffling her feathers! Thank you Mrs. Sparkman and chicken for being ‘egg’cellent guests!
