ABOUT OUR NURSE

ANDREA MCGREW - worked for the school district since 2001 as the District Nurse in Pecatonica. She is a Pecatonica High School graduate and also a graduate from St. Anthony College of Nursing with a Bachelors Degree in 1995. Prior to working for the school district, she worked at Rockford Gastroenterology and the Freeport Heath Network-Pecatonica Clinic.

She has lived in the Pecatonica area her whole life and loves the small town atmosphere. She is married and has two grown children, a son-in-law and an amazing dog, Tucker.

PROMOTING GOOD HEALTH 

Our goal is to promote good health for our students and staff. As the districts nurses we promote good health by performing a variety of duties. The duties include assessing student health needs, maintenance of student health and immunization records, monitoring attendance, providing first aid to students and staff, conducting mandatory health screenings, which include hearing and vision testing and providing health education. 

NEW STUDENTS
If your family is moving into the state of Illinois, all incoming children are required to have a physical completed within 30 days of enrollment.The physical needs to be on the appropriate form. The form is titled "State of Illinois Department of Human Services Certificate of Child Health Examination".
