Hello-
I will be hosting a College Application and Financial Aid Night on Thursday, September 5 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the band room for junior and senior parents. For junior parents, this is a great way to get a preview on the college application process and a timeline of what students should be doing to be ready.
I will provide a brief overview of the college application process, provide handouts on what seniors can do each month to be ready for college, and try and answer any questions you may have. This will be the same presentation that senior students will hear in classes this week.
In addition, Dave Anderzon, from Rock Valley College will be here to present information on the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The opening date of the FAFSA is October 1. Dave will talk about the financial aid process in general and be available for questions afterwards. Both presentations should be done by 7:30.
If you have specific questions, feel free to email me those questions now and I will have answers prepared for that night. If you can't attend, I will provide a copy of the handouts and presentation online afterwards. Thanks- Mrs. Abel
