On March 7, 2026, eleven young men took the stage at Pecatonica High School to compete for the title of Mr. PHS. Key Club members Teagan Kasper and Anna McLevige have served as the Mr. PHS co-chairs for the last two years, with this 9th year proving to be the most successful one yet, raising a record $13,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Throughout the night, judges and audience members were treated to a grand march, a choreographed dance, a dash for cash, many smiles, and so much laughter. The eleven contestants began fundraising the week of the event; and on the night of the pageant, they competed in the categories of formal wear, outfit of choice, talent, fundraising, and question. Pecatonica parent Nancy Noud shared her family’s story of the support and care provided by RMHC when their son underwent a life-changing surgery in 2020. At the end of the night, awards were given, and the top two contestants were announced, leading to the crowning of senior Blake Fox as the 2026 Mr. PHS.
The Mr. PHS co-chairs and Key Club advisor Michelle Johnson wish to thank all the contestants and their attendants, family members, judges, audience members, behind-the-scenes Key Club volunteers, local businesses, and community members who helped make this event such a success.
In its nine years the Mr. PHS pageant has brought in $60,000 for organizations such as The Thirst Project, The Children’s Miracle Network, The Ocean Cleanup, ShelterBox USA, Kids Around the World, the Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Feeding America, and now Ronald McDonald House Charities.
