Each year, the Polar Plunge brings together thousands of warm-hearted individuals from across the state. It's a great way for everyone, individuals, organizations and businesses- to support Special Olympics Illinois. Special Olympics' mission: To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families and other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
All funds raised during our Cool School Polar Plunge will stay locally to help offset the costs for our athletes to participate in future Special Olympics events. Our community raised over $12,000!!!
Donations will be accepted until March 31st at any office at Pecatonica Schools! Thank you everyone!!
