PCMS Evening with the STARS
STARS Night
On Thursday May 7th, 2026 Pecatonica Middle School is having their annual event, “Evening with the STARS.” STARS stands for Students in Technology, Art, Reading and Science. The event is from 5-7 PM and the food trucks are open from 4-7PM.
Ms. Houghton will be displaying a Middle School Art show with projects from all grades & Photo Booth lead by the Yearbook Committee
5th grade students will display their Pop bottle projects and Solar System Projects.
6th grade students will present their “Wax Museum” literature projects and Plant/Animal cell models.
7th grade students will display their Ecosystem Food Webs and Scale Model Projects
8th grade students will be presenting their energy house and community will vote on their favorite
Mrs. Kime’s class will have plant cell models on display
Special Presentation from Music Department
We will also have many other fun events:
Student council fundraisers will include face painting with Mrs. Melancen ($2.00), a cake walk with Mrs. McGrew ($1.00), and a 2-liter ring toss ($1.00)
Book Fair to support the middle school library
Bax T’s will have some Pecatonica Spirit Wear for sale
Prairie Street Brewhouse’s “Sizz N Fizz”
food truck will be here for anyone who wants to purchase smash burgers, cheese curds, waffle fries, chicken nuggz, and craft sodas
K & P Filipino cuisine will be serving spring rolls, rice noodles, and fried rice
Kona Ice will be serving shaved iced
2nd Act Sweets truck will be serving up ice cream & Granita treats
