Oak Tree

To honor retiring Superintendent Bill Faller and the characteristics that have made his 15 year tenure with the Pecatonica Community Unit School District so successful, the Board of Education has planted an oak tree on the high school/district office grounds.

Like an oak tree, Bill has demonstrated strength of character, loyalty, endurance and wisdom as our superintendent. Like an oak tree, Bill has led the District to reach for the sky. Like an oak tree, Bill has sheltered students and staff from politics to the pandemic. Like an oak tree, Bill has inspired little acorns to grow into mighty oaks themselves.

May this tribute tree flourish in the years to come, reflecting the ways that Bill Faller led Pecatonica Schools to flourish!

Given with gratitude by the PCUSD Board of Education
