Chico the K-9 Dog Visits PHS This afternoon the K-9 Unit visited the Pecatonica High School to perform a safety check. Police K-9 dogs are used regularly in School Districts around the nation to help deter problems and keep schools safe.

Mrs. J's Yeet Haw (middle school coffee shop) was on the move last Thursday delivering Christmas Cheer. Mr. France stopped by the middle school and enjoyed his coffee and snack.

Tickets for The Hobbit are on sale during conferences in the PHS office. Tickets are $6 each and are all general admission seating. PHS office hours, during conferences, are Thursday 7:00am-4:00pm and 5:00pm-8:00pm. Friday the office will be open from 7:00am-1:00pm.

Today Mrs. Hoff visited the middle school and she checked out the STEM classroom.

Just a reminder that Pecatonica High School is hosting the IHSA Sectional Volleyball Tournament tonight and Wednesday. First game starts at 5:30 tonight. Admission is $6.00 and there are no passes. Doors open at 4:30.

We have finally received official word from the IHSA that we will proceed with our 1st round playoff game against Chicago Harlan on Saturday. Hope to see you tomorrow night at the Pep Rally. 6:30 start at Pecatonica High School.

CARS 4 CLASSROOMS!!! Friday, November 1 3:30 - 7:00 P.M. Pecatonica High School Stop by Pecatonica High School and test drive a Chrysler Pacifica or Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. Chrysler will donate $10 per test drive to Pecatonica High School Key Club. All who test drive a Pacifica will have their names entered in a drawing for a PHS sporting event punch card and more! *Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Pecatonica High School will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Night on Wednesday, October 30 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. in the library computer lab. Students and families may stop in at any time. This event is for any seniors and their parents who have not yet completed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, which helps them determine what type of financial aid they qualify for. The sooner this form is filed, the better for the student to qualify for aid. Items they will need to bring include: Social Security Numbers (for both student and parents), 2018 federal tax returns, W-2's and other records of income. Banking statements and records of investments (if applicable) Record of untaxed income (if applicable) Month and year of marriage, divorce, or other change in marital status Birth dates (student and parents) Driver's license number (student) Help will be available at this event to answer questions and fill out the forms online. -- Valerie Abel School Counselor
